We need your help. The GOP has been taking our country in the wrong direction. As fiscal conservatives, we in Alabama are disgusted with the trillions of dollars that the Republicans have put off on our future and our children's future. We agree that keeping our taxes low makes good economic sense, but we also know that the debt that was racked up (mainly due to the GOP giving tax cuts to the super rich) has cost us even more in the future by way of interest payments to countries like China, Japan, and India. What's more, the money we are losing to these countries is money that could be saved to pay down the debt and used to help better educate our children.
We have entered a crisis situation. Elmore county voters have unfortunately been led astray by divisive GOP politics and misinformation from the likes of Karl Rove and Grover Norquist. We need to rise above smear campaigns and learn the truth. We must turn our focus to the issues that really matter to the health, wealth, and well-being of all our people. Those issues start with Education, the Economy, high paying jobs here in America, fair taxation, taking care of God's green Earth, and ethical government by and for the people.
